after a long week of studying (and eventually getting an A on my exam), i decided to treat my self to a bit of sephora therapy as a little re-ward. to be honest, i hadn’t bought anything from sephora since their last VIB sale so a little retail therapy was overdue. the one thing i knew i wanted was the quai hair oil from jen atkin’s new talked about hair care line in addition to the renaissance eye shadow palette from antastasia beverly hills. now if you’re anything like me, leaving with exactly what’s on my sephora shopping list is next to impossible. hence, why we are here today…
i was a little bummed out that they were sold out of the renaisaance eye shadow palette but when i saw the new mario master palette i knew that it would be a better fit for me. while the renaissance palette is gorgeous, the colors for me personally isn’t for every day wear. i love a neutral eye with a pop of color and the master palette provides this. it is very wearable and has all the essential nude colors i gravitate towards.
albeit a little intimidating i’ll be trying my hand at contouring (god help me). i have a round face which i have no issues with at all, but giving my face some dimension with my makeup application wouldn’t be a bad thing. plus what is one more palette to add my makeup stash
– quai hair oil
– quai wave spray
– anastasia beverly hills brow whiz – dark brown
– tatcha luminous dewy skin mist
– anastasia beverly hills x mario master palette
– anastasia beverly hills cream contour palette – medium
the brow wiz is nothing more than a repurchase since i lost my previous one, while the quai hair products were on my lust list since the launch of the line. of the two, i’m mostly excited about the hair oil. i love a good healthy hair oil and this one received a lot of great reviews.
tatcha’s luminous dewy skin mist seems to be on the tongues of everyone these days so i wanted to see what the hype was surrounding it. the packaging alone draws you in which i know gets a lot of people, myself including.
while i have only used the contour palette thus far, i plan on giving the other products a go over the upcoming weeks and detailing my thoughts here on the blog in the future.
