yes, i’m still alive!
it’s been about a week and a half since i last posted anything on Napps & Sass & to be honest between school, work & the election, i needed a mental break. never the less i’m back with a brand new post & it’s all about my go to perfumes. like most women, i love to smell good. i love fragrances in general and whether it’s a perfume or a candle, scents are just my thing. in regards to perfumes i gravitate towards scents that are sweet (not sickeningly sweet) and fresh. majority of the perfumes with the exception of one are just that. i’m not a HUGE fan of body mists and spritz as i do not think they last on me, but i will pick up the occasional one from victorias secret when i am in the mood.
my favorite every day scents and ones that i have gone through countless bottles of are the juicy couture via la juicy and marc jacobs daisy eau so fresh. these are my go to, every day scents which i alternate depending on the day. i’ve been using these scents ever since they were first released a couple years ago. i always make sure to re-stock both whenever i start to run low. both last the entire day /night on me and mixes perfectly with my own body scent. via la juicy is a more sweeter, buttery scent, while MJ eau so fresh is clean and crisp which i just adore.
prada candy, marc jacob’s daisy dream & viktor and rolf’s bon bon are also favorites that i wear on occasions. i do not reach for them every single day but i do a lot when it’s warmer. they are light, sweet and airy and are perfect during the hot summer months in florida. i find that they don’t last the longest on me but they are still beautiful scents to wear.
my last set of go to are chanel’s chance and tom ford’s velvet orchid. these are my babies. you know that area of your house thats well decorated but is reserved only for looking purposes?…. thats what both of these perfumes are for me. lol. now don’t get me wrong, i do wear them however, they are reserved for special occasions such as weddings, parties and the likes. chanel ‘s chance is an old faithful of mine that i have had for a very long time….and yes, it still smells great and lasts forever even after all these years. it’s one of those perfumes that is easily recongnizable. while i haven’t had velvet orchid for as long as as my chanel, it still holds great value in my collection. it is the least feminine of all the scents i own, but something about it’s muskiness draws you in. it’s super special and although it’s not something i would normally gravitate towards, i’m so glad i did.
